Tax Collector Mary Sue Adams is very sensitive to the needs of Hamilton County

citizens affected by the recent hurricane, however, state law still requires the tax

collector to collect 2023 property tax bills which are being mailed at this time.

The 2023 Tax Roll has been certified to the Tax Collector by the Property Appraiser and

is open for payment. Property taxes are due and payable anytime before March 31,

2024.

The following discounts will apply: November 1- November 30 4%, December 1-

December 31 is 3%, January 2%, February 1%, and the net amount is due in March.

Taxes are delinquent on April 1.

The perforated part of your tax notice must be returned with your payment!! Zero tax

notices will not be sent. If needed, contact the Tax Collector’s office. Pay in

Person, By Mail or Online at www.hamiltontaxcollector.com.

IMPORTANT: If your home, storage building, shed, or commercial building was

destroyed due to the hurricane, please remember to contact the Hamilton County

Property Appraiser at (386) 792-2791.
